MDL® Metabolite Database

A complete metabolism information system, MDL Metabolite Database comprises a database, registration system, and browsing interface. The Metabolite Database is the only source that uses information from multiple studies to assemble structural metabolic database entries for particular parent compounds. The Metabolite Registrar enables you to create, edit, and register metabolic schemes into corporate databases. And the Metabolite Browser offers a graphical interface for searching and displaying metabolic schemes stored in either the Metabolite Database or corporate databases.

Transformation tab

Individual metabolic transformations are displayed on a set of tabbed forms. The transformation tab provides the transformation structures plus literature citation data associated with the displayed reaction.

Additional data displayed via tabbed forms

Additional data associated with each biotransformation are displayed on the remaining tabbed forms. The original literature reference from which the displayed data were abstracted is displayed as well.

Metabolic scheme diagram

All metabolic transformations issuing from a common parent compound are organized into a metabolic scheme. Schemes are represented diagrammatically and individual structures may be visualized by a simple control-click operation.
