Symyx to Bring Together Industry Leaders for Symposia to Discuss Future of R&D Integration

Ingredients for R&D Integration Success to be Addressed at Fifth Annual North American Symyx Symposium in Boston and Symyx Global Symposium in Prague

Santa Clara, CA, April 22, 2008 — Symyx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMMX) announced today that its fifth annual Symyx users group will be held in Boston, April 30- May 1, 2008 in conjunction with the Bio-IT World Conference – one of the life sciences and chemical R&D industries' largest end-user gatherings. Following four successful and well-attended North American symposia, Symyx announced that its Global Symposium will take place in Prague, May 18-20, 2008. Key industrial representatives will attend both Symposia, themed "R&D Integration Success," to share insights into the future of technology-driven research and development.

 

The events in Boston and Prague are expected to draw R&D executives, managers and end-user scientists from the world’s leading pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology companies as well as academic institutions. Program agendas feature in-depth executive level sessions as well as case study presentations by leading Symyx customers, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Pfizer and more, focused on increased integration of systems, software and services in global R&D labs.
