Jobs MDL Culture Apply here	Location: International - Switzerland Job Title: Content Product Specialist Job Code: #0147 Last Updated: 09-Jul-2001 Description: As part of the European Technical Skill Center, you will be a member of a European-wide support team, responsible for providing technical support and training to MDL customers, focusing on the Content (databases) products. You will use your technical and scientific expertise to support sales of MDL products, via presentations and demonstrations, application development and technical discussion with prospects and customers. This will also include telephone support, on-site installations and technical meetings, as part of second-line support for Hotline users. Some travel to customer sites within the UK, Europe, and Scandinavia is expected. Responsibilities: Provide in-depth technical and sales support on MDL Content products Help Sales Qualifications process by installation of MDL products for production use and/or evaluations process Technical discussions with IT specialists/scientists regarding the positioning, value, benefits features and use of MDL solutions and technologies Development and delivery of demonstrations/proof of concept applications and prototypes to support the qualification/sales process Discussion/demonstrations with end-suer scientists to understand workflow requirements and position of MDL products within the workflow Minimum Requirements: The equivalent of a 4-year degree in scientific discipline (i.e. Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) The ability and desire to work with a variety of people to implement a solution Excellent written/verbal communication and presentations skills Experience using scientific computer applications Demonstrable experience of modern programming languages, e.g. VB, Java, etc. Practical experience in pharmaceutical/agrochemical research and/or substantial knowledge of research discovery processes Demonstrable experience with relational database systems such as Oracle Desired Requirements: Practical and demonstrable experience with informatics tools and databases in research process Experience with Unix and/or Open VMS and/or NT server operating systems Expertise with internet/web technologies Proven experience in support environment Contact: To apply for a position at MDL, please send your Curriculum Vitae with a cover letter specifying the position and job code to, Attention: Human Resources, E-mail: cbryois@mdli.com Fax: +41 21 601 20 56 Mail: MDL Information Systems, Inc.
